Manage and direct consultant completed design processes of public amenities. Develop request for proposals and manage process for selection of design and engineering consultants.Complete project programming, site inventory and analysis, design development, review and oversight of park, open space, trail, and recreation facilities improvement projects.Outreach and collaborate with neighborhoods, special interest groups, community, other City departments and agencies throughout planning and design processes. GENERAL POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Will work and coordinate with CIP Division to assist and answer design questions for project construction. Includes project management, oversight of project design consultants, stakeholder communication, design, documentation, and preparation of bid/construction documents to be provided to the Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) Division for construction. The POST Design Manager will provide, manage and coordinate the planning and site design of capital improvement projects in parks, open space, trail, and recreation facilities to further the Department and City Master Plans.
